GOOD LUCK FAITH FROM US ALL

This is a bit embarrassing for me but this is the update from the hospital.

HI Karen:

I have a couple of more things to do and then going home for the weekend but I saw your mail and thought I should respond. First and foremost We have done and will continue to do all we can for her. I know you think and rightfully so that we are the reason she is still with us. But let me tell you something, and that is that without the will to live and the fight to do it she would not be here last year when we thought all was lost and you came along and made her have goals and great spirit again is when we saw a big change in her so without question you are as much responsible as we are if not more so, for without the will to live and the desire to come through something like this there is no hope. I know from knowing her so well that you gave her that hope and the desire to do better, she was on all kinds of antidepressants and about 15 other meds then and when she came in for her surgery she is now only on one antidepressant and one allergy pill. So you need to take credit for the huge changes in her life as well as what we have done, for I know that without you and whatever you did she would not be here. I know that for she would not have the surgery last year when we wanted her too.

After reading your email I went and checked on her and she was half awake and her vitals are very good and she is looking much better than this morning her color is coming back and I told her that you had written and that you said you were waiting in the Castle for her and she smiled as best she could and seemed to understand what you meant even if I did not. And you mentioned the song "Right Beside You" I have never heard it but she said when we were talking about your picture before surgery that you were right beside her. Now I know what she meant. As far as hearing music right now I would say no but when we get her off of life support probably tomorrow and she gets readjusted to everything and down from all the drugs and pain killers she is on she will be able to hear it. So I would hold off for a few days as she will be in ICU for at least 3 more days, then to a room of her own.

I am off over the holiday weekend but I will be coming in sometime in the morning to check on her and one other person that Dr Barclay has ask me to do. I will send you an update at that time, and Kay will probably send you one tonight when she gets a chance. So rest easy as you can and know we are doing everything we can to make sure she gets back to you as soon as she can. I know in my heart that your the reason she is living and that is not a bad thing at all.

PLEASE PLEASE IF YOU HAVE A HART HELP KEEP ODESSA ALIVE POSTS AND COMMENTS WOULD BE GREAT LETS SHOW HER WE CARE AND GIVE HER WHAT SHE WANTS. SHE LOVES ODESSA AND YOU SO LETS GET IT ON THE MOVE AS I CANT DO THIS ON MY OWN. SHE HAS LEFT BLOG UPDATES FOR MANY DAYS TO COME AND DID NOT WANT TO GO INTO HOSPITAL AND LEAVE YOU ALL WITH NOTHING. PLEASE DON'T LOOK AT THIS POST AND JUST WALK AWAY LEAVE SOME COMMENTS OR MAKE SOME POSTS EACH DAY AND HELP TO PUT LIFE INTO ODESSA.
