GOOD LUCK FAITH FROM US ALL

Hi Karen:

This is Teressa and I just thought you should know the latest. The doctor's had an MRI done on Faith early this morning and it looks good so they have released her to go to another floor and to physical rehab and to start building muscles around the the appliances they have placed in her back. That means a couple of different things. One she will be moved to a different room away from Intensive Care Unit. and that the nurses will no longer be able to give you updates. I may try to get the night floor nurse to give you some if she will, but as you know i am not here much unless we have patients that are in ICU.

I also will have no reason to be here except if I have to come here for something else I will check on her and let you know. I know you want her to get better but it might help her if you talked to her some at least for she still needs encouragement and support. We up here have done all we can do now and it is up to her to do the rest. Of Course if there is a problem she will be taken care of right away. So don't worry there.

She is going to be very busy and she will not have a lot of time for getting these muscles built up around the appliances is very important. She will be in the water pool most of the mornings working with a therapist and doing exercises to make her back stronger, then lunch and workout on the treadmill and stair climbing exercises in the afternoon. then supper and rest I am sure for the first week she will be very tired when she is done for the day. They have ordered her to have two weeks of this rehab in hopes of making her strong enough to walk and be mobile again. We are hoping for the best here. And that is to get her out of that wheel chair. She is still getting oxygen and probably will for quite a while.

She will be moving this evening and she has not gotten back from Rehab yet but we will move her things, to her new room and she will be taken there when she is done. So you might hear from her tonight depending on how tired she is. I hope that what we have done for you has been a help and I know she values you as a good friend and you should tell her that she is lucky to have come through all she has so far and not to quit now. She is strong and a fighter when she has reason. But last year she had no reason and I thought she was a lost cause. So keep up the good work for you are what turned her around to even get this surgery. Good Luck to you and I wish only the best for you as you seem like a very nice and caring lady.

It is going to be very hard for me now as you can see Faith has left the ICU WARD so my nurses wont be there to send me updates any more.If Faith contacts me i will tell you.Please please help me post and comment all you can if you care about her.
